Aina - The Adventurous Textile Teacher

Learn about "sea rover" Aina Cederblom and her life.

Born in the late 1800s, Aina broke many conventions when she single-handedly sailed around in a motorboat during the 1930s - to the Black Sea, the North Atlantic, and the Philippines. Between her voyages, she founded weaving schools and helped people affected by war and other hardships. Through Europe, Asia, and Brazil - the programme traces a long and eventful life.

The programme is included in the museum's admission ticket but has limited seating. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the start - otherwise your place may be reserved if there is a queue. Unbooked places are released until the programme begins.
