City Walk with Porter Tasting

A city walk through Klippan, Gothenburg's oldest harbour district, where an industrial community once grew around sugar and porter production. The walk explores the East India Company buildings, the ruins of Älvsborg Castle, and the factory environments of the sugar and porter breweries. The walk concludes with a porter tasting in the distinctive porter bar, where Otto Lundell - a porter expert - discusses the history of porter from London to Gothenburg, how it is brewed, and why it tastes the way it does.

The walk starts at Sjömagasinet, Adolf Edelsvärds gata 5, and ends at the porter bar in front of the Waterfront Hotel. Simple loudspeaker equipment is used.

Tickets cost 250 kr + service fee. Ticket prices are non-refundable. Maximum 4 tickets per booking - payment confirmation is required to participate.

Please note that the porter bar is not wheelchair accessible and the space is cramped.
