The Maritime Museum offers a guided tour of the 49-metre-high Seamen's Tower - a classic viewpoint over the harbour city with 194 steps to the top. During the tour you will learn why the tower was built, what it has been used for, what the seaman's wife gazes towards, and which names are inscribed on the tower's base.

The tour is included in the museum admission ticket, but places are limited. Maximum 5 places per booking. Be at reception at least 10 minutes before the tour starts - otherwise your place will be released if there is a queue. Unbooked places are released until the start.

In case of thunderstorms or extreme weather, the tour may be cancelled for safety reasons. Limited accessibility - the tour requires you to be able to climb steep steps. Children under 13 are recommended to go with an adult.
