New Quarters, Old Streets

The districts of Majorna, Masthugget and Haga were once home to sailors, shipyard workers and dock labourers. Today, the same streets are known for second-hand shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and newly built skyscrapers. The walk explores what has happened to buildings and people since the 1960s - and whether it really was better before.

The walk starts at Stigbergstorget and ends at Haga Nygata. To participate, you must show your booking confirmation and a valid day ticket or Museum Card. Payment by Swish is possible on site.
