Järnbärarnas Haga
Sjöfartsmuseet Akvariet, Gothenburg
Ingår i entrébiljett
Haga emerged in the 17th century as Gothenburg's first suburb, with low wooden houses and gardens. During the 19th century, the district became densely built and transformed into a crowded working-class neighbourhood where many occupational groups settled - including the iron carriers, who preferred to live near Järnvägen by Pustervik. Later, Haga's story became one of urban plans, demolitions, protests, and preservation.
The city walk begins at the fountain in Järntorget and ends at Skanstorget. To participate, you must show your booking confirmation and a valid day ticket or Museum Card. Payment by Swish is available on site.
