Law and Order in Majorna

Once upon a time, sailors' taverns crowded Majorna and poverty was rife in its winding alleys and wind-battered buildings. When the district became part of Göteborg, everything changed: streets were straightened, taverns and street life vanished, and grand mansions rose in their place. This walk traces the marks of that transformation.

The walk starts at Gathenhielmska House, Stigbergstorget 7, and ends at Chapmans Square. To participate, you must show your booking confirmation and a valid day ticket or Museum Card. Swish payment is available on site.
