Master Olof and the Word

The church door is locked - and the Bible's word shut out from many. The reformer Olof wants to open both: in 1526 he translates the New Testament into Swedish.

The production alternates scenes from August Strindberg's youthful work Master Olof with newly written scenes about how the Word speaks to us today. In autumn 2026, a new translation of the New Testament is also presented.
