New Dance Work 1 - Imre & Marne van Opstal

Brothers Imre and Marne van Opstal, both trained as dancers, have established themselves as a choreographic duo with a strong physical language. Bare state is their third work for Gothenburg Opera's Dance Company, following To kingdom come (2022) and Atlas song with artist Anna von Hausswolff (2024). Since then, they have created a critically acclaimed work for the Paris Opera Ballet and choreography for the fashion house Dior.

New Dance Work 2 - Bobbi Jene Smith & Or Schraiber

Choreographers Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber created I cannot love without trembling for the dance company a couple of years ago - a work that received reviews such as "extraordinarily beautiful and moving" (SvD) and "brilliant" (DN), with music performed live by the Gothenburg Opera Orchestra. In this new work, several musicians also participate. Bobbi Jene Smith became known to a wider audience through the award-winning documentary Bobbi Jene (2017), and together with Or Schraiber she has created works for the Paris Opera and the Royal Ballet in Copenhagen.
