I list & lust

I list & lust brings together two short comic operas from the early 1700s: Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's "La serva padrona" and Georg Philipp Telemann's "Pimpinone". Both tell the story of a maidservant who schemes to win her master's heart - and climb the social ladder. The production is modernized and adapted for touring, with Baroque music complemented by more contemporary elements.

The questions driving the plot forward are timeless: how do you hide your true agenda in a job interview, how do you handle being in love with your boss, and how long can you slack off at work before it all falls apart? Malmö Opera presents a musical farce where the answer is sometimes a second chance - and perhaps even true love.
