The Father by Florian Zeller

Teater Trixter's production of Florian Zeller's The Father employs an unusual approach: Philip Lithner (Dramaten, Riksteatern, Shakespearefabriken) performs all roles alone. The drama centres on a man whose grip on reality unravels, while his daughter faces one of life's most difficult decisions.

Director Daniel Adolfsson (Helsingborgs Stadsteater, Riksteatret, Teater Tofta) and producer Charlotte Davidson have crafted a concept where Lithner shifts between characters through movement patterns and spatial directions. Sound, light, and music intensify the sense of being pulled between hope and despair, while the set design and costumes leave room for the audience's own interpretations.
