Alva and Mattias

Alva and Mattias Granström perform traditional music they have shaped in their own way while maintaining a connection to their heritage. The violin carries the melodies - sometimes with folk-music drive, sometimes in freer lyrical movements - while the guitar provides accompaniment and shimmering melodic voices around Alva's singing.

Both have extensive experience from the Swedish folk music scene, including in the ensembles Norr om Stockholm, Bjäran, Fränder and Västanå teater. After nearly a decade in Stockholm, they have now settled in Lycksele.
