On the Halland coast stands "Badhotell Klitterviken" - once grand, now in the late 1920s a hotel that has clearly seen better days. It is a fact that the pompous owner Estrid (Helena Aspeflo) stubbornly refuses to acknowledge. She drives her downtrodden husband Hubert (Håkan Klamas) to maintain the appearance of an exclusive beach hotel, despite the walls telling a very different story.

It is the era of Prohibition and smuggling, and Hubert has secretly made a deal with smuggling kingpin Konrad Stålberg (Daniel Träff) - a large shipment of spirits has been delivered to the hotel overnight and must be moved on. The problem is that on the same day Estrid has booked a wake for the wealthy widow Stråhle (Ewa Roos), whose late husband was chairman of Halland's temperance committee - and the widow has promised to donate a substantial sum to the hotel, provided the wake proceeds calmly and with dignity.

To make matters worse, the couple's daughter Alfrida (Jeanette Capocci) shows up, searching for her suspected unfaithful lover - and with a burnt hole in her parents' wallet from Gothenburg's jazz clubs and dance halls, something she carefully avoids mentioning. Pastor Livhed (Mikael Riesebeck) turns out to have narcolepsy and suddenly falls asleep. Postman Dag-Otto Flink (Jojje Jönsson) soon doesn't know if he is a postman, smuggler, waiter or priest. And the hotel's new guests Rut (Annika Andersson) and Ragnar (Mikael Riesebeck) are unwillingly drawn into the chaos.

With smuggled spirits in the cellar, a corpse gone astray, threatening alcohol police and a chest that never seems to contain what it should - the circus soon becomes complete. Vallarnagänget is on a major Swedish tour with this salty beach-hotel comedy. The performance lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including intermission. Organizer: 2Entertain AB.
