Automata akrobata

Automata akrobata is a performance where craftsmanship and the circus's bodily intelligence meet the power of mechanics. A medieval lathe transforms into a universe of sound, light, and constantly moving mechanical sculptures, and old technology merges with modern circus.

The performance explores the interplay between human, nature, and machine. Gears, levers, and unexpected movements meet acrobatics and humor - and the circus lathe, a mechanical aid, plays a central role. Imagine if a circus artist could skip lifting their partner and instead let the gears do the work, or let the circus lathe drive the jump rope while handles are being crafted at the same time. Craftsmanship blends with flying confetti. The performance aims to inspire young people to create within both craftsmanship and circus arts.
