Tribute Concert

Piteå Chamber Opera presents the newly written work De sår vind och skall skörda storm - a story of passion, religion, and blood revenge.

At the centre is Maj-Britt, a Laestadian widow harbouring strong but forbidden feelings for her friend Sune. Three elderly women confront her and demand that she break off her new relationship, or risk eternal damnation. What unfolds is a dramatic tale of love and sorrow, faith and hope, life and death - and above all, blood revenge.
