Skansen Lejonet

About the venue

Skansen Lejonet is a well-preserved 17th-century fortification on Risåsberget in Gothenburg, built to defend the city from attack from the north. The round tower is one of the few surviving examples of early Swedish military architecture and is listed as a historic monument. Today it hosts events and guided tours, with sweeping views over the city.

Guided Tours of Skansen Lejonet

Guided tours through Skansen Lejonet, Göteborg's well-preserved fortress from 1689. Open on the first Sunday of each month and on Tuesdays and Thursdays during summer.
