The Bad Plus concludes its 25-year career with a farewell tour. The jazz trio performs from their extensive catalog at Nefertiti in Göteborg.
Dave King is a drummer and composer from Minneapolis, Minnesota, best known as a co-founder of the experimental jazz group The Bad Plus, which he formed in 2000 alongside bassist Reid Anderson and pianist Ethan Iverson. The band built a reputation for blending jazz with rock, minimalism and 20th-century classical music across 16 studio albums. Beyond The Bad Plus, King leads several other projects - including Happy Apple, the Dave King Trucking Company and the Dave King Trio - and has appeared on more than 100 recordings. He has also created the widely followed drum instructional video series Rational Funk and performed in 75 countries on six continents.
The Bad Plus announced that 2026 will be their final year, with founding members Reid Anderson and Dave King confirming the band's disbandment after 26 years.
