George Benjamin

About

George Benjamin is a British composer and conductor, born in 1960, whose music is admired for its precise orchestration and luminous textures. His opera Written on Skin (2012) has been performed internationally and is widely regarded as one of the most significant operas of the 21st century. He studied with Olivier Messiaen in Paris as a teenager.
