Paul Moravec is an American composer who won the Pulitzer Prize for Music in 2004 for his chamber work Tempest Fantasy. His music blends tonal and modernist influences across a wide range of genres. His opera The Shining, with a libretto by Mark Campbell and based on Stephen King's 1977 novel, premiered in 2016.
