La Bohème

Puccini's opera tells the story of a group of young artists in Paris - the artist Mimì and poet Rodolfo, his friend Marcello with his girlfriend Musetta, and their friends Colline, Schaunard and Parpignol. In this new production, directed by German director Verena Stoiber, the action is set in contemporary times. Stoiber returns to Norrlandsoperan following the 2023 production of The Death Of Klinghoffer. The music moves between playfulness and profound tragedy. Norrlandsoperan's chief conductor Eduardo Strausser leads the orchestra.

The opera is sung in Italian with Swedish and English surtitles. You are welcome to an introduction in the foyer 30 minutes before the curtain rises - refreshments open one hour before the start.
