The concert opens with Ravel's Ma Mère l'Oye, an orchestral suite inspired by classic fairy tales - including Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast.

Following this is Grażyna Bacewicz' Viola Concerto with Timothy Ridout as soloist, succeeded by Mats Larsson Gothe's Symphony No. 2 after the interval. The conductor is Lidiya Yankovskaya.
