Inti-Illimani Histórico

About

Inti-Illimani Histórico is a Chilean folk ensemble founded in Santiago in 1967, rooted in the Nueva Canción Chilena movement. When Pinochet's coup struck in 1973, the group was on tour in Europe and spent nearly 15 years in exile. Horacio Salinas has led the ensemble since 1968 and composed many of their best-known works.
