About

John Hiatt (born 1952, Indianapolis) is an American singer-songwriter whose career stretches across more than five decades and 22 studio albums. His 1987 breakthrough Bring the Family established him as a key figure in Americana, and his songs have since been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and B.B. King, among many others. He holds nine Grammy nominations, a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting.
