Legendary American singer-songwriter John Hiatt performs an intimate acoustic set at Cirkus in Uppsala as part of his European Farewell Tour.
John Hiatt (born 1952, Indianapolis) is an American singer-songwriter whose career stretches across more than five decades and 22 studio albums. His 1987 breakthrough Bring the Family established him as a key figure in Americana, and his songs have since been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and B.B. King, among many others. He holds nine Grammy nominations, a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Americana Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting.
Hiatt is performing a solo acoustic UK and European Farewell Tour in summer 2026, with dates in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Rotterdam, London and Manchester.
The Stockholm show at Cirkus is scheduled for June 24, 2026, followed by Copenhagen's Amager Bio on June 26.
Hiatt collaborated with dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas to release Leftover Feelings, which earned a Grammy nomination.
Hiatt received the BMI Troubadour Award in 2019, with tributes performed by Elvis Costello and Lyle Lovett.
New West Records released Only the Song Survives, a 15-LP vinyl box set collecting Hiatt's two decades of output on the label.
