Stockholm Roots Festival
Three-day festival of americana, country, folk and rock at Debaser Strand. Nick Lowe, The White Buffalo, James McMurtry and many more artists perform across four stages.
Nick Lowe (born 1949, Walton-on-Thames) is a British singer-songwriter, bassist and record producer who rose to prominence as a central figure in the late-1970s pub rock and new wave scenes. He produced early albums for Elvis Costello and The Damned, wrote the Costello staple "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding", and scored his own biggest hit with "Cruel to Be Kind" in 1979. From the mid-1990s onward he shifted toward a quieter, americana-tinged style, and in 2024 he released Indoor Safari - his first studio album in over a decade - backed by Los Straitjackets.
Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets announced a US summer 2025 tour following a sold-out West Coast run earlier in the year.
Yep Roc released the live album (Not) Indoor Safari Vol. 1 for Record Store Day 2025, limited to 3,000 copies worldwide.
Indoor Safari, Lowe's first studio album in over a decade, was released on Yep Roc Records on 13 September 2024.
Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets kicked off a North American tour in New York City to support Indoor Safari, with European dates added for early 2025.
Nick Lowe has confirmed US tour dates for July and August 2026, with shows in cities including Chicago, Minneapolis, Cincinnati and Jersey City.
