Irish punk legends The Undertones perform in Göteborg.
The Undertones are a punk band from Derry, Northern Ireland, formed in 1975. Their 1978 debut EP 'Teenage Kicks' became a landmark of British punk after BBC DJ John Peel played it twice in a row and later named it his all-time favourite single. The original line-up split in 1983, but the band reformed in 1999 with Paul McLoone on vocals and has toured regularly ever since.
The Undertones are touring across 5 countries with 29 upcoming concerts as part of their 50th anniversary tour.
The band announced an extensive 50th anniversary Irish, UK and European tour for 2026, including dates in Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Galway and Kilkenny.
The Undertones continued promoting their first-ever live album '16 Live Humdinger', recorded in Glasgow in 2023 and available exclusively at live shows on green vinyl.
The band mourned the death of longtime collaborator and filmmaker Vinny Cunningham, who directed the 2001 documentary 'Teenage Kicks: The Undertones'.
