About

The Jayhawks are an American roots rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, active since 1985. Built around the twin-vocal interplay of Gary Louris and Mark Olson, they helped pioneer the alt-country and Americana movements with albums like Hollywood Town Hall (1992) and Tomorrow the Green Grass (1995). Despite never breaking through to mainstream chart success, they have earned enduring critical respect across eleven studio albums and four decades of touring.
