Los Mirlos is a Peruvian cumbia band from Moyobamba, in the Amazon region of San Martín, founded in 1973 by Jorge Rodríguez Grández and his brothers. They pioneered what became known as cumbia amazónica - weaving electric guitar and psychedelic textures into the rhythms of the Peruvian jungle - and have released over 30 albums across more than five decades. Their track 'La danza de los Mirlos' has been covered by artists across Latin America and is widely regarded as a cornerstone of the genre. In April 2025 they became the first Peruvian band to perform at Coachella.
Los Mirlos launched a European leg of their Ayahuasca Tour 2025, with shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Madrid, Bilbao, Málaga and Barcelona.
Los Mirlos performed at Coachella 2025 on April 11 and 18, becoming the first Peruvian band to appear at the festival.
Between their two Coachella sets, Los Mirlos played a sold-out show at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles as part of their Ayahuasca Tour 2025.
Los Mirlos were confirmed for the Coachella 2025 lineup, representing Latin music alongside Anitta and other acts.
