Lustans Lakejer
Classic Swedish rock band Lustans Lakejer takes the stage for a live performance in Västerås.
Lustans Lakejer is a Swedish new wave group formed in Stockholm in 1978, led throughout by singer-songwriter Johan Kinde as its only permanent member. Starting out with a post-punk edge influenced by Roxy Music, Ultravox and David Bowie, the band shifted toward a more polished synthpop and new romantic sound on their breakthrough albums Uppdrag i Genève (1981) and En plats i solen (1982). After splitting in the mid-1980s they have reunited several times, releasing new material as recently as 2022, and remain one of the most enduring acts in Swedish new wave.
Lustans Lakejer played Nalen in Stockholm on 21 March 2026, part of a run of shows co-billed with synthpop act Page.
The band has upcoming concerts scheduled in Torp (22 Aug 2026) and Lund (25 Sep 2026).
Johan Kinde confirmed in a March 2025 interview that the band has been recording concerts with a live album in mind.
The spring 2025 tour combined material from Uppdrag i Genève with songs from Elixir that had rarely been played live before.
The band released their most recent studio album, Mörk Materia, on 23 September 2022.
