Grymlings på Draken Live

Grymlings make their comeback 35 years after their breakthrough. The band was formed by Mikael Rickfors and took its name from his farm on Gotland.

- It feels fantastic to get out and play these songs again, something I really look forward to. It's also a way for us to remember and honour our late members Magnus Lindberg and Pugh Rogefeldt. For me personally, it feels extra special that the premiere will take place on Gotland, which has meant so much to me and the others in Grymlings, says Mikael Rickfors, singer, songwriter and founder of Grymlings.

Grymlings' major breakthrough came with "Mitt bästa för dig", which spent 23 weeks on the Swedish charts - including 14 weeks at number one. The single "Där gullvivan blommar" was also a huge hit, and the debut album sold 170,000 copies. The follow-up album Grymlings II (1992) achieved high chart positions, with "En glädjesång" and "Väntar på en vän" on the Swedish charts.

The original line-up consisted of Pugh Rogefeldt, Göran Lagerberg and Magnus Lindberg. Since both Rogefeldt and Lindberg have passed away, they are replaced by producer Lasse Lindbom and Dan Hylander. On the "Det bästa för dig" tour, the members perform not only Grymlings songs but also their solo classics: Rickfors' "Vingar" and "När stormen river öppet hav", Hylander's "Svart kaffe", "Farväl till Katalonien" and "Skuggor i skymningen", Lagerberg's "Every Raindrop Means a Lot" (from his time in Tages), and Lindbom's "Kom och värm dej" and "Tänd ett ljus".
