Maribou State are Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, an electronic duo from Hertfordshire, England, active since 2011 and signed to Ninja Tune's Counter Records imprint. They blend downtempo electronica, house and organic instrumentation into a sound that draws on UK club music, vintage soul and cinematic textures. Their albums Portraits (2015) and Kingdoms in Colour (2018) established them internationally, and their third album Hallucinating Love arrived in January 2025 after a six-year gap.
A deluxe edition of Hallucinating Love, featuring a remix package, is set for release on 21 August 2026 via Ninja Tune.
Maribou State headlined LIDO Festival at Victoria Park, London, on 20 June 2026.
The duo are currently touring across three countries with festival dates including Gothenburg, Waterford, Hellissandur and Biddinghuizen in summer 2026.
To mark the 10th anniversary of their debut album, Maribou State made Portraits available on Bandcamp at a pay-what-you-want price.
Hallucinating Love, Maribou State's third studio album, was released on 31 January 2025 via Ninja Tune after a six-year gap since Kingdoms in Colour.
