Maxim Emelyanychev is a Russian conductor and harpsichordist, born in 1988, who serves as chief conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. He built his reputation through work with the period-instrument ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro and is equally at home in Romantic repertoire.
