About

Orup, born Hans Thomas Eriksson on 29 November 1958 in Huddinge, is one of Sweden's most enduring pop artists and songwriters. He broke through in 1987 with "Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar" and followed it with a string of Swedish chart hits through the early 1990s. Beyond his solo work, he co-wrote Lena Philipsson's Melodifestivalen 2004 winner "Det gör ont" and was part of the supergroup GES, whose 1994 World Cup anthem "När vi gräver guld i USA" sold 450,000 copies in Sweden.
