Randy Brecker (born 1945, Philadelphia) is an American trumpeter, flugelhornist, and composer who has shaped jazz, R&B, and rock across six decades. He co-founded the Brecker Brothers with his late brother, saxophonist Michael Brecker, and has appeared on hundreds of albums - from Frank Sinatra and Steely Dan to Jaco Pastorius and Bruce Springsteen. A seven-time Grammy winner, he remains one of the most recorded and widely travelled jazz musicians of his generation.
Brecker is scheduled to perform at the Odense Jazz Festival and Ystad Jazz Festival in late July 2026, with release concerts for Swedish vocalist Anna Pauline's album 'Lucky to be Me', on which he appears as a featured guest.
Brecker performed with the WDR Big Band in Cologne, Germany, in a concert directed by Bob Mintzer in April 2026.
