She began playing at four, moved to Berlin at nine to study with Ulf Wallin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, and has since released five albums on BIS Records, including the Gramophone Editor's Choice-awarded 'Journey Through a Century' (2021). From March 2026 she holds a professorship at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Sueye Park was appointed professor of violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, with her class running from March 2026 to September 2027.
Park is scheduled to make her BBC Proms debut on 21 July 2026, performing the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra under John Storgårds at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Park won first prize (€30,000) at the 13th International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Helsinki, also receiving a one-year loan of a 1777 G.B. Guadagnini violin.
Weller Artists signed Sueye Park for exclusive representation in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and Scandinavia following her Sibelius Competition win.
Park released her fifth album 'Echoes of Exile' on BIS Records, dedicated to works by composers forced to leave their homelands.
