The Legendary Pink Dots are an Anglo-Dutch experimental rock band formed in London in August 1980, who relocated to Amsterdam in 1984. The group is built around singer, songwriter and keyboardist Edward Ka-Spel, whose surrealist lyrics and distinctive voice have driven the band's sound across more than four decades. Their music draws on neo-psychedelia, post-punk, electronic music and dark ambient, and their catalogue runs to well over 40 studio albums - one of the most prolific bodies of work in the experimental underground.
The band is currently on a North American tour with dates running from Los Angeles through to Montreal, including a sold-out show in Portland.
