About

The Primitives are a British indie pop band from Coventry, formed in 1985 around vocalist Tracy Tracy and guitarist Paul Court. Their 1988 debut album Lovely - and its UK Top 5 single 'Crash' - made them one of the defining acts of the late-80s independent scene. After splitting in 1992 they reformed in 2009 and have continued to record and tour, releasing new material through Spanish indie label Elefant Records.
