The Wailers are a Jamaican reggae band formed after Bob Marley's death in 1981 by members of his original backing group. Since 2016 the band has been led by Aston Barrett Jr. - drummer, multi-instrumentalist and son of legendary bassist Aston "Familyman" Barrett - who has steered the group through new studio albums and relentless world touring while keeping the classic roots sound intact.
The Wailers kicked off a 2026 European summer tour with six dates across France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal.
The band announced a 2026 world tour marking the 50th anniversary of the Bob Marley & The Wailers album Rastaman Vibration, starting in Japan in March.
The Wailers' album Evolution was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
The Wailers released the album Evolution on Crescent Moon Records, produced by Grammy-winner Emilio Estefan Jr. and featuring Marcia Griffiths, Mykal Rose and Gramps Morgan.
Aston Barrett Jr. made his acting debut in the Bob Marley biopic Bob Marley: One Love, playing his own father Aston "Familyman" Barrett.
