Vildhjarta is a Swedish progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, formed in 2005 and signed to Century Media Records since 2011. Their sound - dense, down-tuned guitars, dissonant riffs and layered atmospheres in the vein of Meshuggah - earned them the tag 'thall', a term the band coined and that has since taken on a life of its own among fans. Their 2011 debut Måsstaden is a landmark of the djent genre, and the 2025 album + där skogen sjunger under evighetens granar + marks their third full-length, recorded as a trio after lineup changes.
