Víkingur Ólafsson and Herbert Blomstedt

Víkingur Ólafsson won a Grammy for Bach's Goldberg Variations in 2025 and is the world's most streamed classical artist. Now he returns to the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra to perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 alongside conductor Herbert Blomstedt.

Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 was completed shortly before the premiere of The Marriage of Figaro in 1786 and was immediately celebrated by posterity - Beethoven, Brahms, and Clara Schumann were all among its admirers. After the intermission comes Brahms' Fourth Symphony, his last, written in the 1880s.

The 98-year-old Blomstedt conducts the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra with a renowned ability to bring out details in the score.
