Rymden
Rymden brings together three world-class Nordic jazz musicians: Bugge Wesseltoft, Dan Berglund, and Magnus Öström. Jazz is merely the starting point here - the group moves freely into progressive rock, minimalism, and contemporary classical music.
Wesseltoft came from New Conception of Jazz, while Berglund and Öström came from Esbjörn Svensson Trio - two projects that shaped the best of Nordic jazz from the 1990s onward. That these three found each other was natural. The album Space Sailors (2020) combines repetitive high-octane riffs, exploratory melody, and improvised expansions, serving as a logical follow-up to their acclaimed debut Reflections and Odysseys (2019). Wesseltoft moves between piano and Rhodes, while Berglund and Öström challenge conventions on their respective instruments.
In autumn 2026, the band releases its fourth album, Today May be Tomorrow. On 5 November, they perform at Mejeriet in Lund.
