Nordic jazz trio Rymden merges jazz, progressive rock and contemporary art music into an original and exploratory sound.
Bugge Wesseltoft (born 1 February 1964 in Porsgrunn, Norway) is a jazz pianist, composer, and producer widely credited with pioneering the nu-jazz genre - blending acoustic jazz improvisation with electronics, techno, and hip-hop. He founded Jazzland Recordings in the 1990s and leads the trio Rymden alongside former e.s.t. members Dan Berglund and Magnus Öström. His solo piano album It's Snowing on My Piano (1997) has sold over 150,000 copies and re-enters the Norwegian charts every Christmas season.
Wesseltoft released It's Still Snowing on My Piano (Live), a live recording of his classic 1997 Christmas album captured at Norwegian churches and cultural centres in December 2024.
His album Am Are came out on 28 March 2025, the fifth instalment in his solo piano series, featuring a range of guest musicians across generations and styles.
Wesseltoft is currently touring across six countries with eight upcoming concerts, including dates in London, Hamburg, Lillehammer, and Coblenz.
