Danish duo Bremer/McCoy blend jazz, ambient and minimalist pop with a focus on presence and interplay. Following sold-out concerts, they tour through Scandinavia.
Bremer/McCoy is a Danish duo formed in 2012 by two former schoolmates: bassist Jonathan Bremer and pianist/tape delay specialist Morten McCoy. Starting out in dub, they gradually developed a sound that sits somewhere between modal jazz, Nordic folk and ambient electronica - all recorded live to tape and produced by the duo themselves. Their last three albums, Utopia, Natten and Kosmos, are distributed worldwide by Luaka Bop, the label founded by Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, and they have built a following of over 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Bremer/McCoy announced summer 2026 residencies in Aarhus (Radar, 26-28 June) and Copenhagen (Karens Minde Kulturhus, 5-8 July).
The duo performed at Leuven Jazz (Belgium) on 27 March 2026 as part of a double bill with the Sultan Stevenson Trio.
Bremer/McCoy played Porgy & Bess in Vienna on 14 March 2026 as part of their European tour.
Their seventh studio album Kosmos was released on 6 September 2024 via Luaka Bop.
The duo completed their first-ever tour outside Scandinavia in spring 2025, taking their own sound system through Northern Europe.
