Zurich-based Okvsho plays Nefertiti with their six-piece Experience band. Improvised jazz centred on dance music and the new album FROZEN FLASHES.
Okvsho is the Zurich-based project of brothers Georg and Christoph Kiss, who blend their roots in beatmaking and electronic music with the sounds of the contemporary European jazz scene. Starting out with the 'Traphouse Jazz EP' (2018) and debut album 'Kamala's Danz' (2020), they built a following among record collectors and jazz listeners alike. Live, they perform as Okvsho +experience - a five-piece band where improvisation and jazz as dance music take centre stage. They also run Current Moves, their own Zurich label, through which they release both their own work and music by other artists.
Okvsho announced their new album FROZEN FLASHES, due for release on 18 September 2026 on Current Moves.
A European tour supporting FROZEN FLASHES is underway, with confirmed dates including Amsterdam (Oct 27) and Berlin (Nov 30).
Okvsho's 2025 European headline tour included a sold-out show at London's Jazz Cafe.
Okvsho released their second LP 'A Place Between Us' on 7 March 2024, the first full-length on their own label Current Moves.
Radio RaBe featured Okvsho in an interview about 'A Place Between Us', noting the album's collaborations with artists from Germany, South Africa and Switzerland.
