Laura Misch and Sofie Birch perform together at Inkonst in Malmö.
Laura Misch is a South London-born saxophonist, singer-songwriter, electronic producer and field recordist whose music moves between jazz, soul and electronica. She weaves together saxophone, voice and synthesis into layered electro-acoustic soundscapes shaped by nature and deep listening. Her debut album 'Sample the Sky' (2023) and its acoustic companion 'Sample the Earth' (2024) - named one of The Guardian's top ten contemporary albums of the year - established her as one of the most distinctive voices in British independent music. Her second album 'Lithic' was released in June 2026 via One Little Independent Records.
Laura Misch released her second album 'Lithic' on June 5, 2026 via One Little Independent Records, produced with Matt Karmil and recorded in locations including Cornish caves, quarries and the Greek island of Hydra.
Misch headlined the Barbican in London on July 3, 2026 - her biggest headline show to date - performing 'Lithic' with a full ensemble.
Ahead of 'Lithic', Misch released the single 'Echoes', described as a meditation on saxophone and voice that grew out of her score for BBC Radio 4's 'A Lemur's Song'.
Misch completed a 'Slow Tour' of Europe in early 2025, traveling by train through France, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, the UK and Ireland, and hosting deep listening workshops between shows.
'Sample the Earth' (2024) was named one of The Guardian's top ten contemporary albums of 2024.
