Jazz i Kuben: Tilde Schweitzer Big Band

Tilde Schweitzer is one of Sweden's youngest big band leaders and arrangers. The trombonist founded the sixteen-piece Tilde Schweitzer Big Band when she was just 23 years old, and last year the band played sold-out shows across the country. Last summer, she also took over as host of Jazz på Skansen.

When she released her debut album in 2024, she was named both Rising Star of the Year and Jazz Musician of the Year. On the album, the band collaborates with Nils Landgren, Emmalisa Hallander, and Leo Lindberg, among others. Tilde has also written music and arrangements for Radiosymfonikerna, Bohuslän Big Band, and Wermlands Operas Orchestra, and toured with artists such as Darin, David Ritschard, and Benjamin Ingrosso.

Now Tilde Schweitzer Big Band visits Malmö Live Konserthus - a band made up of a young generation of jazz musicians who reinterpret big band jazz through Tilde's newly written arrangements.
