Jazz i Kuben: Bobbe Big Band and Peter Asplund

Bobbe Big Band presents a Christmas concert featuring trumpeter Peter Asplund and singers Vivian Buczek, Linda Pettersson, and Emmalisa Hallander. Together they perform new arrangements of American and Swedish Christmas classics.

Bobbe Big Band is led by Robin "Bobbe" Hellström and has collaborated for over 20 years with guest artists including Rigmor Gustafsson, Nils Landgren, Cæcilie Norby, Janne Schaffer, Karin Hammar, and Samuel Ljungblahd.

Peter Asplund is one of Sweden's most accomplished trumpeters - he has released nine albums, received a Grammis nomination, and won the Gyllene Skivan award twice. He has performed with international names such as Bob Mintzer and Herbie Hancock. Vivian Buczek is celebrated for her feel for swing, blues, and lyrical expression, with nine albums and tours worldwide. Linda Pettersson Bratt has worked as a freelancer since 1994 in settings ranging from duos to symphony orchestras, collaborating with artists including Toots Thielemans and Georg Riedel. Emmalisa Hallander is a jazz singer, composer, and lyricist from Stockholm, recipient of the Alice Babs talent award in 2018.
