The Nutcracker

Classical Ukrainian Etoile Ballet presents The Nutcracker - Pyotr Tchaikovsky's classic ballet with choreography following Marius Petipa's original version. The orchestral recording is performed by the Kharkiv Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra.

The story follows young Clara and her adventures on Christmas Eve: the battle between toy soldiers and rats, dancing snowflakes, and a journey to the magical kingdom of sweets. Tchaikovsky composed the music in 1892, and it has since become one of the world's most performed classical ballets.

The company consists of professional dancers - winners of international ballet competitions and honored artists from Ukraine, many of whom have been active at European theatres since February 2022. The production features handmade theatrical costumes and sets, as well as professional lighting design.
