Gagn

Gagn plays folk music - but that label doesn't quite capture it. Unbound imagination and rhythms that resist easy dancing point toward something distinctly their own. The band formed as a concept in 2023 in Malmö, and in May 2025 they introduced themselves to the world with an EP and debut concert at Malmö Hus Slott. Their melodies draw from the valleys of Dalarna and forests of Värmland, with harmonies from Småland and rhythms from Delhi.

Gagn circles around the red thread of fate and faith in the path they have chosen to walk together. For them, being wild is not violence - it is the opposite of being locked in. Rooted in folk traditions and customs, they have drawn their swords against everything that does not serve them: the maturity to do their own thing, the struggle against envy, and respect for the ship they sail together.

The doors to Palladium open at 11:00 on each festival day.
