Malmö Jazz Story presents: Bee Brown (US) w/ Luca Curcio (IT)

Malmö-based dancer, choreographer and DJ Bee Brown, born in the USA, meets Italian-born bassist, composer and producer Luca Curcio in an improvised blend of dance and music. Brown's artistic practice moves between contemporary dance and experimental performance, with rhythm, improvisation and collaboration with live musicians at its core. Curcio explores improvisation, groove and sampling with the double bass as his starting point.

Together they investigate rhythm and movement as a shared language. Nathan Hamelberg sits behind the turntables and brings a third perspective to the rhythm - the three compose in the moment and let their different approaches meet in an abstract visual and musical work.

Free entry. Bistro Live is open for food and drink. Kubenfoajén, 17 October, 6-6.30 pm.
