Nordiska Akvarellmuseet is one of Europe's leading museums dedicated to watercolour and paper-based art, situated on the island of Tjörn outside Gothenburg. The building, completed in 2000 and designed by Danish architect Niels Bruun, extends out over the water at Sunninge sund. The museum hosts Nordic and international exhibitions alongside a busy programme of workshops and artist residencies.
