Benny Sings is the stage name of Tim van Berkestijn (born 1977, Dordrecht), a Dutch singer-songwriter and producer based in Amsterdam. Since his debut Champagne People in 2003 he has released ten studio albums, blending soft pop, soul and jazz-inflected hip-hop into a sound that has earned him a devoted global following. As a producer he co-wrote and produced platinum singles and the UK number-one album Who Cares? for Rex Orange County, and his 2023 album Young Hearts - made with Kenny Beats on Stones Throw Records - marks his most recent chapter.
Benny Sings contributed a cover of 'Time After Time' to the Decca/Blue Note tribute album Chet Baker Re:imagined, released on 16 May 2025.
Benny Sings is scheduled to perform at the OFF Festival in Katowice in August 2025, part of a broader European tour leg.
